An examination of the relationship between museums and technology, including the use of online tools beneficial to museum professionals; this course culminated in the creation of a unique online resource pertaining to student’s individual research.

Theory and Practice of Disasters

Dr. Joseph Trainor 

The foundational course of study for the  theory and practice of the field of disaaster science management, patricularly as it related to cultural resources. 

Seminar: Problems in Islamic Art

A seminar devoted to the study of problems in the characterization and identification of Islamic art culminating in a term paper about the identity of an Islamic Griffen Throne Leg currently on display in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Care and Preservation of Cultural Property

During this class we learned the ethics of conervation and preventative conservation as well as how to use light meters, CCI slide rulers, hygrometers, and how to read and analyze HOBO data. For the Honor's component of this course my classmates and I were able to complete a multi-faceted project revolving around the two outdoor bronze sculptures of Nubian goats at the University of Delaware named Chloe and Lucinda. This projected included an in-depth artist interview, a public outreach project, condition report, and a hands on cleaning of the sculptures.
